Who cares? – Anyone who interested in getting true customer reviews written by people who have really been there and done that. Is it user friendly? – This is a very simple and effective app which is easy to navigate. Why download it? – Example: you are in a part of town you are not familiar with and you are hungry but don’t know where to go, Yelp can tell you what is close and what is good for any genre you are looking for. Yelp has been around a while and has continued to adapt and improve for their more than 30 million monthly users. Originally Yelp started as a review website in 2004 and created their mobile app in August of 2007. Yelp works locally to bring true customer reviews to everyone looking to pick a restaurant, bar or anywhere that Yelp users have gone. Once you have downloaded and opened Yelp you will see the the icons that navigate through the app. The Nearby icon will take you to a screen which allows you to choose which category you want to see reviews in. For example if you choose restaurants you will see 20 of the closest restaurants that Yelp users have reviewed. You can also see Sales & Special Offers near your location. Early 2010 Yelp responded to Foursquare and Gowalla’s check-in utility for Yelp users to be able to let their friends see where they are. Instead of a mayor a Yelp leader is a Duke. Yelp is a very useful app which can take the guess work out of your restaurant decision making process. Yelp has been around for 6 years and continues to bring its users new and engaging tools so I believe that Yelp will be here for a long time. This app is definitely worth taking a look at.
