Who cares? – Anyone who often will be seeing text in other languages, or want a way to define a word quick and easily. Is it user friendly? – Besides the fact that shaky hands can cause problems with the scan, this app is very easy to use, easy translations, and definitions. Why download it? – If you see any word that you don’t understand, you can easily find the definition and/or translation of it easily. Today we did an app review of Worldictionary, and let me first start by saying, we have arrived in the future if utilities like this are available. Once you have downloaded and opened Worldictionary, all you need to do is point your phones camera at a word you would like to get a definition of. Once you have placed the center of the reticule within the magnifying glass on the word, the word and a translation of it will appear. If you keep the center of the magnifying glass on the word, you can press the speaker icon on the bottom to hear the word spoken, or press on the words list on the bottom right to find the definition of the word. You can Google the definition, Wikipedia it, or search it within Youtube. The best part about this app is you can translate foreign languages! By pressing on the bottom on the languages listed on the bottom, you can tell the app what language you’re going to scan and what language you want it to translate to. With over twenty languages to choose from, you can get great translations and hear the word said all using this powerful app. This app is awesome, though it is a bit pricy at $5.99, I think that the utility you will get out of it will be more than worth the money. I plan to use this a lot in the future because it is simple, easy to use, and very powerful. The only problem in this app is if you have shaky hands, the scanner has a hard time registering the word. Overall this app is awesome and has a lot of uses, this app would be a cool way to impress your friends, get a quick definition, or even see a translation of a billboard in a foreign country, Worldictionary is an awesome app and if you had $5.99 to spend, I would definitely recommend getting it.
