Though Words With Friends uses the same idea as Scrabble, the presentation of Words With Friends is what makes this app awesome. The online play of this awesome, instead of rushing to make games finish within a sitting, it’s kind of geared towards the idea that you expect to complete a game after a week or so. First off, there are three ways to play, you can connect your app to your face book and invite your friends to play over that. There’s a random game generator where you can play with anyone who accepts. Also there is a pass and play option where you can play with someone in real life where you give your phone to your friend. When you complete a game you can see the end of the game’s result so you can keep track of your win loss record. To first one to lose all their letters wins and the other loses the amount of points from letters he has left over. Another feature about this app that is great is there’s a social feature as well, so even when you’re playing a game with someone you know, you can talk to them, smack talk, and bring out the competitive nature in both of you. Words With Friends is really fun and is probably one of the multiplayer apps on the store and definitely worth a look. The free version is good and the adds only appear after each turn so it’s not too big of a deal, but the pro version being $2.99, is a little bit too much money compared to the free apps small amount of ads, which is why the app receives 4 stars out of 5.
