Is it user friendly? – The only function of the app is taking your heart rate and it is very simple. Instant Heart Rate is a very interesting and unique app that uses the light from your flash and your phone’s camera lens to find your heart rate. Many people need to check their heart rates for many different reasons and this app allows users to do so for free. Once you have downloaded and opened Instant Heart Rate the flash light should immediately turn on. As the light is on constantly all you need to do is lightly press your finger against your camera lens and the amount of light that passes through your finger as the blood is pumped from your heart should give an accurate reading of your heart rate. I have checked my heart rate and it is usually pretty accurate. The numbers will bounce around a lot but if you keep your finger gently pressed against the lens for about 10 seconds you should be fine. Don’t pay attention to the changing numbers as much as the number in the top right which is the actual reading you get. Since Instant Heart Rate is free I would suggest everyone download it.
