Who cares? – Anyone who sends out mass texts and likes to share pictures with friends. Is it user friendly? – It is probably the most user friendly chat app out there. Why download it? – To be able to create pods of people to message and share pictures with anytime you want. Beluga is a great group messenger app and is unique because of how it relates across iPhone and Android platforms seamlessly. You can get your friends who do not have a smartphone to join in the conversation as well through any type of phone and email. Beluga is pretty new and is currently being working on by three guys who wanted to create an app that can help small groups of friends change their plans easily through one simple source. Once you have downloaded and opened Beluga you will sign up for an account through your email or by entering your phone number. At that point you can create a new conversation or “pod.” These pods can be created for any type of group and can be scheduled to happen at a certain time or place. I really like the map feature that allows you to attach your location to each message so that each person’s location in the conversation will show up on the map to let everyone see where you are at. In settings you can create an event for the date and time of the pod to occur between friends to let everyone know the details about the event at a specific time. Beluga is a probably one of the most efficient group messenger apps out there, and all the unique tools that make the messaging easier is why it stands out in our opinion. The best part is that it is completely free with no SMS charges. So I suggest downloading Beluga and start creating your pods to make your social life easier.
