Our review

Developers obsession with bird apps is an interesting trend. The app we reviewed today, Air Chix, keeps this trend going and does it well. In Air Chix, you are a bird that is sitting on an airplane, veering in and out of the obstacles that come along the way. By pressing your finger to the screen, you fly higher up, and by letting go, you fall to the bottom of the screen. On your way of flying through obstacles, your goal is to eat as much food as you can, by getting a lot, you can receive high scores. At times you will see shiny fruit and by collecting a line of shiny fruit without missing any, a star will show and give you a boost. You can collect 5 stars per level and if you get all five you get more points. The game is fun and comes with 3 sets of levels with 5 levels in each, by collecting all stars in one set, you get a bonus level. Air Chicks has great stylized graphics that has sunsets and weather which makes for an interesting game. The game play is fun but is a bit simple, the main downside of this game is the fact that you can’t really lose. It isn’t until the last few levels that running into the obstacles actually causes you to crash. Also it would be great to see a survival mode in the game to see how far you can get. Air Chix is a really fun game with a lot of potential but until the game has more of a challenge, Air Chix will receive 3.5 stars out of 5.
