Mouse Trapz

Our review

Today we reviewed indie developer Jason Forbes' great app, Mouse Trapz, if you know the cycle of scared animals, you should be good. This game is a very unique puzzler where the object is to get the mouse or mice into a mouse trap. This is no easy task though, the way it works is by thinking, mice are afraid of cats, cats are afraid of dogs, dogs are afraid of monkeys, monkeys are afraid of humans, and humans of course are afraid of mice. This game calls for you to look ten steps ahead because you only get a limited amount of animals to plant in each level. The first few levels are fairly easy and don’t really pose any trouble, but after a few sets of levels, the game gets really tough. The trick is to collect the hint tokens on each level, to collect the tokens you need to get whatever animal the token asks for to hit it. These hints help out a lot because it is often hard to see where you need to place the animals. But out of all these cool things, the best part of this game is the level creator, by beating all of the levels or by finding the hidden button you can unlock the level creator. This creator lets you place every piece to the puzzle and once you’ve placed them where you like, you can take as many animals away as you want. Once you’re done you can publish it and send it to the creator who will be adding user made levels in the coming updates. Mouse Trapz is a great game and can be very addicting, though it’s really hard at times, it wouldn’t be as enjoyable if it was easy. This idea is original, amusing and fun, and because of that there isn’t really much bad things to say about it which is why Mouse Trapz receives 4.5 stars out of 5.
